Cambridge Half Marathon

by Dana Miller on March 9, 2020

On Sunday 8th March 2020, 16 members of CHR took part in Cambridge’s annual Half Marathon, sponsored by Saucony. The day was a testament to human endurance as eleven thousand plus runners left Midsummer Common and went on an epic 13 mile run around Cambridgeshire.

Winding through the streets of Cambridge, out through the countryside, snaking down through Grantchester and Trumpington and then back up into Cambridge to finish where we had started, the Half Marathon was a mammoth undertaking by our team and all those involved, pushing a non-stop pace and staying resilient until the finish line. However, all our hard work paid off as we were able to support 3 great causes by raising £1,687 for Level Water, Kidney Research UK and Guide Dogs.
A special mention to Philipp Langer, our CHR Superstar, for finishing with the astonishing time of 1:38:24.

Though at the time we were too exhausted to think it, now with the power of hindsight, the day was a complete success and an overall amazing experience. We are already looking forward to our participation in 2021!
